Reality Check

I have been feeling very good for the last several weeks (ever since I got out of the hospital). Those good days had led me to forget the seriousness of my PC. I was brought back to reality this past Tuesday during my 2nd opinion at UC-Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Zell asked me if my oncologist had told me that my chemo regimen was palliative and not a cure. He was not trying to be mean, just being thorough. But it certainly brought me back down to earth.

Later in the week I has helping Martha do some Spring cleaning by starting to sort through some of my books. Of course the first shelf I came to had to do with hiking, kayaking, camping, cycling and racquetball. Just another reminder that my life has taken a different path than I had envisioned.

Dear Bob,
Doctors have opinions and I guess we need them. BUT only God knows the path He has planned for your life. May He continue to bless you and reassure you and comfort you. With prayers, Sue and Chris
