Down and Up, Up and Down

On Monday night I remembered I used to take all flights of stairs, two steps at a time. As I climbed the stairs for bed I needed to use a lot of my arm to pull myself up the hand rail. When I got in bed, it hit me. I "teared up" as I thought of the loss of my vitality and strength. It took a while for me to realize that is process whether it is brought on my illness or just getting older. I had thought if I regularly exercised and jogged then I would put that process off a long time. It never entered my mind that I would get cancer.

My feet and ankles stopped their swelling on Tuesday a.m., just in time to go in for my chemo. Shanna, one of my chemo nurses said my liver numbers were down, indicating good things going on with my liver tumor. We will be scheduling a CT scan in July to see exactly what is going on with all the tumors

Unfortunately, chemo side effect returned. General fatigue, intermittent fevers, etc. I hope they start to clear today..

Hope you are feeling much better today! We both empathize with your "knowingness" about illness and aging. Just know that God is right beside you whatever you are feeling. Prayers....Love Sue and Chris
