Waiting, waiting, waiting

It is 4am and I have been awake since 2:30am. I enjoyed listening to Martha's deep breathing, Lulu the cat's purring and Letty the dog's snoring. But it didn't put me back to sleep. So, I just got up.

Still waiting for a reschedule of my first chemotherapy. I had canceled the first one that had been scheduled on 4/8 since it was less than 12 hours from when I finished my ERCP outpatient procedure on 4/7. And we are still waiting to schedule a 2nd opinion consultation with UC Irvine Medical Center. That referral is lost in their bureaucratic maze

There are too many ups and downs to getting treatment in a timely manner. I had been warned about that from others. The medical facilities and medical staff are great. What seems to create the problem is the work of the clerks that handle the paperwork..... Some are great, some are good and some are just totally incompetent. And doctors are too busy to see how the performance of their front office is adversely affecting the medical care they give their patients.

Enough ranting for one early morning.

Bob,

Thanks for the update on your visit and the confirmation of the abilities of those paper pushers. It is good to read that your positive sense of humor remains intact. Watch the special last night on Dr. Randy. Will have to check out his presentation and see if I can get excited about what he has to share. Keep the ranting going and stay alive for the laughs.
