The ERCP was successful

We went to the hospital yesterday for the procedure to replace my biliary stent with a permanent metal one. Dr. Ojuri was late as usual. Plus there was an emergency patient scheduled ahead of me. Dr. O did tell the nurse to get a room for me since he thought I would be spending the night for observation.

The procedure was completed in about 30 minutes. Dr. O told Martha he was very pleased with how it went, textbook case. In fact, he said when he removed the plastic stent the duct drained naturally. He said this was an indication that the tumor may have shrunk. We should know more about tumor size when we hear from the comparative CT scan that was taken Monday morning.

So instead of staying overnight, he released me to go home!!!! Got here around 8pm thanks to our good friend Wayne Kelley who picked us up at the hospital. I woke this morning feeling good and strong.

I was anxious and concerned before this procedure, don't know why. The previous two times didn't seem to cause the anxiety that this one did.

For those of you (not for the squeamish) who would like to see what my installed stent looks like, click here.

What a great news! I'm looking forward to hearing more of good news to come! I'm so happy for you ^___^

I saw the picture of the stent. It looks so fancy, and mazing that it is in your tummy :P

Wish you all the best.

Love you.
