On Tuesday, July 29, my aunt Wilda Ensign Passed away in Temecula. Her 90th birthday was a little more than a month away on September 18th. My brother and I grew up in Salem, VA and Wilda (Wy) lived with us and was like a second mother to us. She married later in life but had no children. So my brother David and I continued to be her children.

After a long, long time of taking care of her husband (12 years with Alzheimer's in a nursing home), and my mother and another sister she was the only one still living. Somehow I convinced her to sell her large house in Salem and move out here to California. Her dementia had already set in and she could not adequately take care of herself. Almost 4 years ago she moved to
Chancellor Place in Murrietta and then less than a year ago she moved to Friend's Home about 2 miles from our house in Temecula.

There will be a funeral service Saturday, August 9 at 11:00am at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church,
27655 Jefferson Ave., Temecula, CA. At a later date her cremains will be buried in Salem.

I am still convinced they only reason she moved to California is to be with her favorite relative, our dog Letty in the picture.
